The upper eyelid can drape down and obstruct the upper portion of your vision. It also can be unsightly. The lower eyelid can become wrinkled and protruded because of herniated orbital fat that pushes against it. These problems can be solved surgically through an upper or lower blepharoplasty, respectively.
